Kinda inspired by Vic's breakthrough, I thought "why not try something I have never mastered"?

There is this song by a norwegian band delillos (http://delillos.no). The guitar is very catchy and I have tried it occationally but never really sat down and practiced it. The intro looks something like this:

TTempo - 130-140bpm(?)
All notes are 8th notes, completely evenly played

-----0--------0-----0--|-----0-----0-----0---||-
-------4--------4------|-------3-----3-------||-
---4-----4--------4----|--2------2-----2----.||-
--------------------------------------------.||-
---------------------------------------------||-
---------------------------------------------||-

Chords for rest of the verse is something like this, played in a similar way

B something: xxx440
G6: xxx000
Dadd9: xxx230
A: xxx220
Asus4: xxx230

B | G6 | Dadd9 | A | A | em | Asus4 | A

Ok so I can play it fine with my fingers, but what if I use a pick. I cannot agree with myself how to pick it; whether or not to use strict alternate picking. Or rather, strict alternate picking gives a lot of err, inside picking(?) and it is difficult to keep it fluent. But what then???

Any advice on an efficient way of picking the pattern above, before I sit down to practice would be great!!!!

(BTW: My brother and I may be playing it on a gig 1st of september, so I better get going... :) )
