If you think it's in "great" condition tell them you will pay 2 grand for it. BUT!!!, make sure you check EVERY curve of it, headstock, neck, body, and all the mechanics involved.

Make sure there aren't any dents or dings in it, you'll be surprised how much a dent in an obvious spot will bring the overall value down (which doesn't mean the guitar sounds worse, it just means you can bargain with them more).

I hope everything works out in your favor.

I've been looking for a Gibson ES hollow body. I've played the ES-335,
ES-340, ES-175 and others, but yesterday...

I played a '56 Gibson ES-225T with two P90s at a local guitar store and
Woooow!!! I really liked the way it played and the tone is great!! Even
better than the ES-350 I played recently. I think this particular guitar
is special, but they're asking $2,500!!!! Seems like a lot, but I really like
the guitar - I think ideal for blues and rock! I don't want to buy it if it's
overpriced but I can't find much information on the model anywhere on
the web.

Does anyone out there have an idea what this guitar is worth or how
I can find out? Is there a free online guitar blue book site? And, should
I get the guitar for that price????!!!!

Thanks!
