I am completely self taught, though I am considering taking some lessons on soloing with a teacher I did some work for a few years ago.

just wish I had taken up the guitar when I was 7 and not 47.

My youngest son is learning bass guitar and has been at it for two years now. He has lessons at school, has formed a band (trio), plays in a rhythm ensemble after school and his band came second in last months school talent show.
Not bad considering theey only formed up 5 months ago.

Hyperborea, that metronome looks exactly like my tuner, and I love my tuner, so I'm sold. Seriously though, I have a pretty oldfashioned metronome.
