From something I found on Last.fm, it looks like Eddie did do a cover of the "Anthem."

I know this isn't much help as far as how you'd get that sound, but it might help in digging around for tabs or sheet music, something that might have some suggestions for effects, settings, etc.. To me it sounds like one of Steve's whammy Strats through a Marshall, and maybe a fuzzbox of some kind. Probably put a compressor on there too.

Almost everyone of us has heard the 'Top Gun Theme' by EVH (right ?).

So i was getting interested that how the guitar tone was achieved in this particular song...it really sounds amazing , with a feeling of a big hall/arena type one.

It seems that a strat is used on the song , but , i maybe wrong here.

Some people say that Joe Satriani played the song...is that true , or , there have been covers ?

Anyways , the major thing is how to achieve that typical tone. 8)
