                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[Thing about thin picks, and this is a kind of paradox, is that<br>you would think that the thinner the pick you use, the cleaner<br>and quieter/smoother your notes and pick noise would be.<br><br>Works just the opposite though.<br><br>A heavier pick will sound/strike the notes harder, all but eliminating<br>totally, the unwanted "tick-tick" sound. <br><br>You don't hear a bow on a violin...or a pianist's fingers when<br>they play...correct? (unless you have your ear pressed against<br>the instrument, which is un-desirable.)<br><br>A guitar should be no different...imho.<br><br>You want to hear the notes..not how they are made.<br><br>Another metaphor could be...<br><br>You know the house you live in has nails and plaster etc. holding<br>everything together, but you don't want to see them.<br><br>Plus thinner picks, since they tend to bend alot on the strings, <br>don't snap back quick enough to facilitate speed picking.<br><br>Be fearless..grab the thickest and biggest sledgehammer you can,<br>and whack away.]]></content:encoded>

I'd definitely recommend one.<br>I use heavy picks, .88mm or thicker, most of the time because they're a lot more responsive when picking individual notes, and any rhythmic stuff I can still do with a heavy pick.]]></content:encoded>
