Spped eh? One year eh? Cool, but if I could give you any advice at all, it would be to SLOW DOWN and play like Satriani. Then speed it up. If you worry about speed and are on the verge of playing like Satchman, then you will have a tendancy to become sloppy and miss alot. You've probably read or heard it a million times, but like a good mother I'll say it again......It's always better to play something slow until you got it down PAT, then build up the speed. Too many players take the other way around it and their playing suffers for it.

As for Yngwie's stuff, Good luck. It's fast and repetative, but takes a very skilled set of hands to play. Very cool ! :) Unfortunately it made me realise just how slow my own playing progress really is :( I cant play like them, not close lol - I've just recently learnt a small number of their songs.
Sure, ill record some but not just yet cos I need a half decent mic and I wanna get the songs flowing better.
