Hello, I'm new to this webpage and just wondered if anyone knew about the required music knowledge and skills to be able to compete or win the competition of the youngest guitarist of the year award which takes place in London. There wasn't one this year - covid - but should be one next or the year after. I have 1 or 2 years before i we be signing up to the award and just wanted to know what i should spend the majority of my time practising and practising i.e scales, chord patterns, arpeggios, Notes on the entire fretboard, improvisation, ear training etc. or if i should go into great detail like learning major 7 flat 5 chord shapes or other stuff that i wouldn't usually use.

Thanks
