I still laugh at #7. :D
I especially like the full ashtray in the photo. Adds a nice touch.

Yeah, #4 & #7 must have been designed by an engineer. :D

I wonder if we have any fire marshalls looking at these power supplies and having heart-attacks. :)

Yeah, mount your pedals on metal. That must be an engineer job too.
Still, did you study this guys wiring? Oh, in addition to the ashtray, I love the one lone butt on the carpet. And the shoes. :D

Hmm -- maybe a ham radio operator.

Hey Mike,
Dunno if you have the bandwith for it, but what about making a bunch of clips of how different combinations sound? Like going from clean to blues to early rock to hardrock to metal etc? Could be educational to a lot of us. :D
Dang that's a lot of pedals!!! :)
I have a few, but find myself using like two at most now-a-days. Usually my Boss Super Chorus and Ibanez TS-7 Tubescreamer. I also use the delay that's built into my Marshall amp, but will end up getting a delay pedal at some point (my Deluxe Reverb has no effects).
Usually though, I'm plugged straight into the amp. When I try learning a tune, I prefer it clean so I can hear what I'm playing. Once I get it down a bit, then I'll try to find the right tone.
At least we know who to ask pedal questions. :)

Mike, I think you by far have more guitar stuff per month played on this site! Four months and a hundred different guitar things? That's also the biggest pedal collection used all ot once. Pretty impressive.

Mikespe,
That's a lot of pedals dude. I listened to them on your other post and they sound nice.
I got like three pedals a dist pedal, a wah and an equalizer and I'm so lazy I barely take them out.
I'm not good enough to worry about pedals and effects much yet.

It's a long way to the top if you want to rock n roll!
Well Mike you win!! I asked this question in my thread on power adapters here:
http://forums.guitarnoise.com/viewtopic.php?t=28015
but how on earth do you power all those pedals, I am looking at the pic but my old eyes can't figure it out. I only have two pedals but want to get 3 more and don't want to have to buy an AC adapter for every one. Thought I would pick your brain.
Robbie
Robbie,
I covered that in this post:
Mike:
How many power adapters do you need to run that spaceship???
I am looking for an adapter to run 4, yes only 4, effects. I have seen multi-plug adapters but don't know where to get one. Anyone know?
You need what called a Daisy chain (in my case several!) which is made by 1 Spot..there are others but 1 Spot seems to be the cheapest. I use 3 Danelectro AC adapters & 4 daisy chains. One AC adapter can run 8-9 pedals depending on the pedal (the Dan-Echo uses 2 9 volt batteries so uses more power). Each daisy chain has 5 plugs plus the female plug for the ac adapter.
And Wes also mentioned the same daisy chain and provided a link.
Here is that 1 Spot. I use this to power my pedalboard. I bought the additional 5 plug daisy-chain, so I am using this to power 9 pedals in all. Works great and no AC hum whatsoever.
You can get just the AC adaptor with a 5 plug daisy-chain for $5 less, but with the combo pack you can power positive center pedals (many old pedals are positive center post), and you can also power most wahs. Worth the $5 extra easy.
The Boss TU2 tuner will also power up to 8 additional pedals with the optional daisy-chain. Great tuner.
I love my Boss tuner, but I am not as crazy about their other pedals. They are good, but I have found other brands as good. I am a big Danelectro fan. I am really impressed with these new Behringer pedals as well, might try a few more out. Arion is inexpensive but makes some good sounding pedals as well.
Hey Mike,
When you start a thread you really start a thread 4 pages!

I know a little bit about a lot of things, but not a lot about anything...
