Maybe I can get one of them soon, they range in price from $318 for an Ibanez Artcore Hollowbody to $730 for the Fender John 5 Telecaster. I'd sure love a tube amp in there somewhere this year. Plus, I am in contact with a drummer right now, so I may need a small PA for Vocals. The anticipation of all that new gear is great.

How can I check if the bridge is in good condition though? because if it's not then I might need locking saddles or a trem stabalizer or something like that, correct?

A locking nut should fix your problem, assuming all the bridge-end hardware is in good working order. That said, I'm not a big fan of locking nuts. I'd probably try locking tuners instead, being careful to minimize the string wraps around the posts (which could be the root of your current problem. Gotta do the string wrapping around the post just right.)

I've been considering of upgrading my guitar and these are my plans:

- Touch up chips in paint (relatively easy and cheap to do).

- Switch all pickups: 2 single coils for the neck and middle position and a humbucker for the bridge.

- Install locking tuners/ locking nut/ locking saddles/ trem stabalizer.

- Replace the volume and tone knobs that I have and maybe even get a fancier pickguard.

My question is that when I use my whammy bar for large whammy dive or sometimes on rare occasion my guitar slips out of tune... I've had set-ups done on it (the nut is slotted and i replaced the older string trees on it), and i even lubricate all the parts before i put strings on. Would putting locking tuners or a locking nut or anything i posted above help stop this? what would be the best and cheapest thing to do? Also, if anyone has any recommendations for pickups to install, that would be great too, thanks alot.
