Do not snip any wires!
It's not always that easy to do soldering work on guitar internals.. unless you have a skilled soldering in your family or can pay one.
I mean.. don't get me wrong, anyone with a little practice can solder, but it's still way to easy to mess things up.

I would take a few photos of your guitars internals, specifically your wirining and locations of certain devices. Afterwards, do as the other guys said and 'unsolder' the wires as opposed to 'snipping' them.
Uhh, I have no idea exactly what unsoldering is, but I want to assume that it is just detatching the soldered wire from where its mounted to with a little big of a tug, pull or yank. I could be wrong.

Anyway,
Make life easier, dont snip.
Another thing!

Before you start unsoldering wires, make sure and look really hard at every wire and its location and figure out WHAT WIRES are connected to your guitar just so you dont remove wires from your guitars electronics. The point is getting the internals out of the way for a paint job right? make it easy on yourself

Take a picture or draw out your wiring schematic if you are putting it together the exact same way it came apart. But if you do this, I would get new wiring. To make it easier in the long run and potentially re-use every thing (if you choose to) what I would do is un-solder the the connections.

Good news is the painter i know is amazing, and will have no problem with the fairly complicated stuff i want. To the problem: I dissasembled the guitar except for the wiring/pickups/knobs. the knobs(3 out of 4) are unbolted and sitting in the guitar. the 4th is a little stuck, but ill get that. My problem is i dont know where to snip(or not snip) the wire(s) holding this stuff together. I know somethings gotta give if i want these things outta here, but im lost. this is my first project ever. Thanks~Mike

P.s if this is in the wrong section sorry
