My furch durango acoustic has no pick guard and when I play particular pieces the sound of my finger(s) rubbing off the wood below the sound hole can be a slight irritant. Its nothing major but I'd like to know what can be done about it. I've never had this problem with any other guitar and I'm assuming thats because they all had pick guards. If I have one put on is it likely to have a negative effect on sound quality? And is it a big job that should only be done by someone who knows what they're doing, or can I just order a pick guard and adhesive and whip it on myself?
