i usually use elixers, but during the "cold season" they break too easily while busking (as would any other string, but elixers are rediculously expensive)
polywebs are what i prefer, but right now i have on a set of martin phosphorus something or other... btw i have a yamaha fg 411, black finish, the tone is pretty full and not overly crisp (like martins...i know... :oops: im supposed to like those) and can be manipulated to sound both bright and dark (depending on attack and string guage)
its really a nice guitar, aside from the dings and chips lol

I have washburn d10sce acoustic. An awesome guitar by the way..... and i use nothing but elixir nanowebs.....they are alot brighter than the polywebs but they run like 20$ canadian a set

Very limited experience on my end but I had only used D'Addario strings until last week when I put a set of Elixir Polywebs on my Fender acoustic. It was a dramatic change in sound. The guitar sounds a lot richer and fuller now. I'll be buying those from now on.

I've tried a lot of differant ones and I find dean markley blue steels are the best. They wear out slowly an keep good sound

I think we are going up hill here on price but I really like Elixers at about $13 US.

I really like John Pearse. They are a little more expensive than others, but are really very good.

EJ 16 is just the "model" number I guess..the actual gauge is

.053

From 1st to 6th respectively

Oh and by the way they are phosphor bronze strings.

Is that gauge 16 ? cause i've heard that they're great strings. The Acoustic guitar isn't anything brilliant, its a vintage something or other, about 130 quid new i think - $240
