Welcome to guitarnoise, jewtemplar! Remember to look VERY carefully about cracks and flaws in the finish and on the guitar itself; maybe the reason nobody bought it was because of damage. Other than that, buy it! Even if you don't need it, buy it and sell it at another store! That is an awesome price for that guitar and you should definitly get it! Just remember about the damage; even a little thing could be a potential hazard.. Congrats if you get it!

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for asking this type of question, but here goes.
My parents bought me a new guitar for my birthday. It's a Tacoma DM9 they picked up at Guitar Center for $325. I know the list price is $970, and discounted ones are usually ~$600, so I went to the store and asked why it was so drastically marked down. The guy told me it had basically been lying around for a few years, and they put it on clearance to get it sold. Should I be worried about the quality of the instrument? It sounds great, and I certainly can't see any damage, but I have zero experience with buying guitars and have only been playing a few months. I'd appreciate any advice you have.
Thanks,
~Sam
