But I often stretch it to a month because its cheaper that way. There should never be anything hanging off the strings so I would suggest you change them.  They may or may not break but I'm sure they sound bad.]]></content:encoded>

So I gave my other one to a friend that wanted it. The strings are goin on two years old or may even be that old.]]></content:encoded>

The string won't break, but is probably getting a bit old and dull sounding if the coating is wearing. BTW, most strings are not coated, and will not suffer from this.]]></content:encoded>
