Hello,

I use my Gibson Explorer often in my band and I have noticed that the finish seems to be having some problems.

Where my wrist sits against the body and on the backside as well as other spots, the finsih seems to be faded to almost a grayish color. This is only when seen in direct light. From farther away and in dark lighting the area is black, but looks almost like a blotch of black.

My guitar is black so you can imagine it's a pain to take care of, but I'd like to keep it looking as good as my black Mustang.

My question is what is the best way to restore the guitar's finish to it's beautiful "wet black, recently purchased new" look? I recently purchases Fender's care pack by Meguiars, but havn't tried it yet. Is that a good set? Will it work for my problem?

I appreciate any help.

Thank You all very much,

Prowler45
