I have several ukes. two are quite old. the new one has a noticeable finish as seen in the picture in your link. my old ones are worn, but they do have a finish. it is dark, slightly textured like baby alligator hide and grungy from years of use. I think it unlikely that ukes are made without any finish. Yours has a finish unless it was removed at some time. you could apply a wax that has no silicon to help preserve what is original. never spray directly on the instrument. always spray a tiny amount on a rag. work it into the rag. and then apply. once covered, polish with a different clean rag. <br>storing the uke in a case of some kind away from direct sunlight, fireplaces, wall heaters and outside walls in the winter your uke should live a long and happy life. here is a great link    <a href="http://www.beatlesite.info/">http://www.beatlesite.info/</a>]]></content:encoded>
