                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[Thanks, everybody.<br><br>You're right, Dali, I won't be taking any guitars there for setups in the future, even though it is a reputable shop.  <br><br>The shop told me they had it set to specifications (and I realize that specs are probably a range, not just one value), and that if they lowered it any more there would be buzzing issues, etc. Since it was a change to heavier strings and they are a professional shop, I didn't know what else to do but believe them, until it sat around for so long unplayed that I figured even if I had to go back to 9s, I had to do something.  <br><br>Yes, Chuckster, it is just like having a new guitar all over again.   :D  8) <br><br>All's well that ends well.<br><br>Margaret]]></content:encoded>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[But you can't even <I>see</I> the "adjuster end of the rod" on this guitar.  It's recessed way down inside that dark hole where you insert the wrench, just above the nut.  You put the wrench in there and operate blindly. 

I have a couple like that.  I lay the guitar on my wifes ironing board (where I do all my setup and repairs) and I squat down behind it with a flash light holding the allen wrench like it is a laryngoscope and I'm getting ready to intubate somebody.   :lol:   I do try to lable my wrenches but sometimes I'm not as good about it as I should be.  :oops:]]></content:encoded>
