Hi all,
I recently bought a set of Grover mini Roto-grip locking machine heads (PN#505C6) to replace some standard Grovers minis on a Gibson Explorer. Problem is they don't fit. I thought they would be a 'drop-in' replacement but the screw arm is slightly longer the the old minis. I don't really want to drill new holes in the back of the headstock. Is there another locking machine head out there I can buy to replace my old Grovers? Do the Schaller or Planet Waves (or any others) fit without any alterations to the guitar itself?
