It's a pain. You need steaming equipment, a neck removal jig, a template to rout the neck joint correctly etc etc.

From what I've read, this means that the neck will eventually have to be reset.
I've looked at the photos on frets.com and it appears to be major surgery, but not that complicated.

I'm wondering if it's something I can do myself, especially since it's not worth the price to have a luthier do it on one of my guitars (a Yamaha FG-335).
