You really need some type of interface to get the impedance if that's the right term correct.<br><br>But if you are just using it to hear your guitar then yea buy one of those headphone amps.]]></content:encoded>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[I have never connected a guitar straight to the computer... but... make sure you are plugging into the microphone jack, instead of the line-in.... or the other way around... sorry, this is just a guess.<br><br>I highly recommend getting a headphone amp.  That can go between the guitar and the computer and will give you the increased amplification... I *have* done that.  <br><br>Also, you can practice using headphones without the computer.<br><br>I have a Vox Amplug AC30... it is about $30-40.]]></content:encoded>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[hi... im, Haz...<br>sorry if i post on a wrong section... i can be described as a newbie with all this...<br><br>ok... here what it is...<br>im using just Cheap beginners electric guitar... which is don't have any Amps... so, i convert it to my pc using 1/4 to 1/8 jack converter, then i played it through GuitarRig in FL studio...<br><br>i've been played for about 3, maybe 4 month until now... the "Undescribed" problems is.. when i plugged my Guitar to my pc... then i strum it... it doesn't make any sound... but theres Hum when i touch the Strings... and when i pick a string, no sound produced and the hum actually gone when i released my palm from the strings... after that... i checked the Output Jack as i told to on the net... those two wire were...... uhm... well.. cutted i assume(Sorry for my bad english....T_T).....<br><br>Well, The Question is... Where is the problem came from? is it from the Jack? or the Chord? nor the coils?<br><br>My Guitar information:<br>Cheap as hell which is TGM(Stratocaster copy) model... <br>3x Single coils...<br>well... i bought it from a friend...<br><br>Thanks for taking your time to answer my horrible Questions...                                                                     <br><br>                                                                                                                                                                    -haz-]]></content:encoded>
