I didn't realized there were so many typos in my first message I apologize for this: wrote the whole thing in a haste before leaving work this evening.

My current room is very long and narrow and only has one window so perhaps this is part of the problem, there is not that much air circulation. I'm also very sensitive to heat so I use the air conditioner a lot, other than that theres no other room temperature regulator.
I'm actually moving my bedroom downstairs tonight, it has three windows, and maybe this will change things for the better. I'm going to try and get it on video next week (because this weekend is ATP!) because its very weird, I mean if the guitar was reacting to the humidity in the room the previous owner lived in the same city, I have two other acoustic guitars one chinese and another czech and then plenty of electrics, and I've never encountered this problem before. What could be the consequences of this reaction? Should I get a humidifier? Can the guitar fall apart?

It is VERY scary when a woody sound wakes you up in the middle of the night, you are just go back to sleep thinking is just the wind and then hear it again coming from your guitar!

I recently traded an electro harmonix pedal I wasn't using much for an old 40s Kay archtop acoustic. I've been wanting to get an archtop for a while and I'm very pleased with this instrument, very nice bluesy vintage tone. Ever since the night I got it however I've noticed it makes weird wood sounds when it is left sitting in at the stand. When I check the guitar though noting seems to have changed, there are no cracks or openings in the overall structure. I live in a studio and sometimes the sounds wake me up in the AM (like this morning), what is happening? Since its a archtop is difficult for me to see what is going on inside, I can only hope everything is ok but I'm afraid it might come apart one night, or worse. Has any one ever had or heard of this type of issue??? I'm probably taking the guitar next week to a repairguy, because this week its too busy but couldn't wait to hear from anyone, but I'm afraid since the sounds are intermittent I don't know how much he can do for it.
Many thanks for reading!
Leo
