I have been living in my van with my Martin DM for about a year. It has been heavily used as my primary guitar for at least 4 years. Lately it has not been a fully functional guitar. I blame myself for not keeping good care of it and just recently started using a humidifier. Either way, I have taken the guitar to get worked on and it worked temporarily and it keeps getting worse.

The binding on the soundboard (topboard of body) is loose. Is this from the wood shrinking or the adhesive fading? Can I glue it back on or would it effect the soundboard expanding and shrinking with moisture changes?

Several notes do not sound throughout the fretboard. On the highest three strings, the 12th through 15th frets do not sound notes. After tightening the truss rod, the problem became worse with it exending down to the 10th fret. The truss rod otherwise is at its loosest.

Any ideas? I would appreciate it greatly.
