A guitar is a work of art visually AND mechanically, more money makes them prettier from a prettier piece of wood and more money/time put into the finish. More money means more expensive electronics and better tuners that hold better. More money means hand filed frets instead of machine cut. They all have to do the same thing and that is to have all 6 out of 6 strings playing correctly.

I would kick back any guitar that came to me with only 5 out of 6, no matter what I paid for it and I have done exactly that. If I hired someone to dial in a guitar he would get it kicked back even if he did a beautiful job on 6 other guitars I brought to him. 5 out of 6?

I am glad you are happy with it though and I must be out of place to insult you by calling your Tech's work SHABBY. I am sure he did the best he could? Sorry.

I too was surprised by how good the Behringer was out of the box especially for how cheap it was. But we need to keep things in perspective...in order for those guitars to be that cheap they HAVE to cut costs somewhere...and most likely its the quality of the parts that suffer. My Jay Turser tele was another matter and I sent it back for a string that I could not tune no matter what. The guitar was waaay out of whack out of the box. Had this guitar that had warranty work done on it come back with a buzzing or if I paid for a proper setup on a guitar I already owned, whether factory or private guitar shop......I probably would have fixed it myself and told them they lost a customer for good.

I can't believe someone would set up a guitar, whether under warranty or setup for cash and give it back to the customer with a bad string. If you find out it didn't work then change it back to where it was and just raise the bass side a little like gnease suggested. If this were a more expensive guitar I would have it back in the shop in no time. But quite honestly for one string I can adjust it's not worth the gas to go back.
