The Tone Monster is set up to put any/all combinations of the singlecoils of a Strat (any S-S-S guitar, actually) into Lead (series) or Rhythm (parallel) according to how you throw the switches.
I thought I'd also mention that two humbuckers, each with its coils in series, and then the HBs in series, might turn out to be not such a great idea. But you could try it, and if the option was switchable, you could always leave the switch in the parallel setting if you decided the Both/Series idea wasn't what you had in mind.
