Start at Deaf Eddie's home page, http://www.deaf-eddie.net/index.html. Then look for
The FREEBEE TIPS and TRICKS:
Here's the NEW AND IMPROVED page of
Deaf Eddie's custom wiring mods...

Clicking on the bottom line of that text (on his site) will take you to http://www.deaf-eddie.net/drawings/drawings.html. The third link down on that page will take you to a .DOC, "A brief discussion of connecting pickups in parallel and/or series." (View it with Micro$oft Word or whatever you use for .DOC files.)
Eddie (Emmett Brown, actually) writes some pretty interesting stuff, including his brief discussion of "Strat quack," entitled "What IS Quack, Anyway???" (http://www.deaf-eddie.net/drawings/quack.doc)
I also find myself agreeing with his statement, "I'd rather have a couple of axes with just a few mods than ONE axe with EVERY mod!" 8)

Glad to see more GuitarNoise members using the "other GN," GuitarNutsâ„¢.
I'd suggest also looking over this page, http://www.guitarnuts.com/wiring/sw2.php, because it's more about pickups in series, rather than the coils of a humbucker. The Tone Monster is set up to put any/all combinations of the singlecoils of a Strat (any S-S-S guitar, actually) into Lead (series) or Rhythm (parallel) according to how you throw the switches.
I thought I'd also mention that two humbuckers, each with its coils in series, and then the HBs in series, might turn out to be not such a great idea. But you could try it, and if the option was switchable, you could always leave the switch in the parallel setting if you decided the Both/Series idea wasn't what you had in mind.
Have fun! 8)
