Hey guys!

I know this is the best place to ask this question.... I don't have allot of experience in setting up guitars other than setting intonation on my electric esp.

My question is this, my brother who is a beginner just recently bought a cheap acoustic and this thing rattles like a snake, I tried to eyeball the neck and it kind of looks like the neck is bent at the 5th fret. However I'm not really sure, I'm thinking that an adjustment to either the nut or saddle hieght could fix this, or do I need to adjust the truss rod on this one?

His roommate bought the exact same guitar at the same time, but different color, and it sounds fine. I'd like to help him being that he lives in a different house away from the city with no interneet conection for me to read off of.

If anyone has any info on how to fix this that I could print off and take to his house I would be in your debt for years to come!

I really don't know how to adjust the truss rod and many of the documents I've read on the net are vague at best. I'm guessing allot of people have this kind of problem. Any input at all is greatly appreciated.
