The thing is, when you spray you get divits and bubbles and nastyness and you must sand those out and then respray. this is why you do multiple coats and not just dip the damned guitar in finish. When we do finishes where I work we sprat, sand with 1500, spray, sand with 1500, spray, sand with 3000, spray again (usually needed) and wetsand with 3000grit. then buff the guitar. This will insure a thick stable finish free of 99% of defects that you can use as a mirror if you want. Ive done it. It takes extra time, but thats the difference between the finish you get on a 6000dollar PRS and a 200dollar fender. *a lot of cheaper finishes are bake on, which is why you can see the planer marks through the finish... they dont sand them.*]]></content:encoded>

Ive sanded it down, n Ive just sprayed the body, its only the first coat so far.<br><br>Ive been told that I should re sand the body with a different grade of sandpaper &amp; re-spray. Is this the right thing to do or is it just wrong.<br><br>it sounds silly to me, cso if I re-sanded it Id just be getting rid of what Id just sprayed onto it.<br><br>but then again I dont know anything about luthiery or woodwork<br><br>any suggestions?]]></content:encoded>
