Lefty, you're just trying to up your post count!!!   :lol: <br><br>Anyway, every electrical component should be grounded to a common ground location.  The bridge ground can run to the back of the volume pot, which is probably where you're going to ground everything else.  <br><br>Google "star grounding" for a better alternative.  There's an article called "quieting the beast" on one of the guitar sites (maybe guitarnuts.com, IIRC) that will give you more details.<br><br>Good luck with the project!]]></content:encoded>

It was bright red, I want to stain it a nice cherry wood finish.This is my first attempt at anything like this. I took all of the electonics out of it and I am having a little trouble putting them back. I have looked at a gretsch wiring diagram and I thnk I'm close but I don't know where that ground wire from the bridge goes. and  do you have to ground the switches too? (1 tone, 1 Pickup selector).
