The strings are gonna streatch some when in tune, but the shorter length of broken string should get you in the general area where you want to look for a burr or sharpe edge.]]></content:encoded>

When I tried to retune it, it continued to unwind until it was just a strand of metal.<br>So I got a new string, but 2 days later, it broke in the exact same way. It just did it again today.<br>Note that I only change strings every few months (there's no guitar stores around here), so I don't know why the other strings last longer.<br>I play a crappy Squire Stratocaster, 7 years old<br><br>If you need any more info, just ask]]></content:encoded>
