I don't know what you mean by pitch tune, after all, tuning the guitar means adjusting the pitch of each individual string.

Here is my advice:

1) Get an electronic guitar tuner. Many of us have trained our ears, but the guitar tuner can tune your guitar better than most ears are capable of, even when trained.

2) When changing strings, rub a little pencil graphite (#2 pencil works fine) in the grooves of the nut. This helps the strings slide easily through then nut and keeps them from binding.

3) Put a little chap stick under the string trees when changing strings - for the same reason as the above suggestion (I believe the Squier Strat has string trees, if not, ignore this suggestion). I got this advice from a guitar manufacturer (Kramer) - regular chap stick works best.

4) Tune up before you play, EVERY time you play. The only way to develop good ears is to play in tune all the time.

5) Always tune from flat to sharp. If the guitar is sharp when you pick it up, detune it a bit flat and then bring it up to pitch - it will stay in tune longer this way.

Music sounds better when it is in tune. Tuning the guitar is probably the very first thing you should learn.

Insights and incites by Notes
