This song has got a lot of soul but right now your playing draws more attention to your playing than it does being an integral part of the song. None of this is meant to be a putdown, by the way. What you're doing is very typical of people starting out and it's a necessary part of the learning process. With experience, preferably experience with playing with others in a band or jam setting as opposed to just playing along with recordings, you'll develop more of a knack for saying more with your guitar while playing less.

You've got a good feel and you can certainly play. And I'm looking forward to hearing more.
