Basically someone will "host" the on line jam by posting a backing track from a source like you used or  something that the host has made them self.Usually you will post approximate time slots available and others will sign up for those time. each participant  would download the BT and record the part they signed up for and send it back to the host who would mix every thing together and post the finished jam.
