So basically, a microphone and a laptop. I do a lot of post processing because I can't afford physical electronic effects and things like that.

Taso, very perceptive, it does sound like mandolin, but is infact a nylon-string sped up to twice the speed. Its an easy way to play fast AND clean plus it gives an extra ambiguity.

There are some other interesting things I did with it:

-The mystical chimes at the beginning is a recording of me turning on a space heater through a 1/2 speed reverb

-The inaudible voices in the background are lines from Married with Children and a bra commercial

-Before the guitar kicks in, that crashing sound is a car crash from Law and Order

Very nice though. I can hear the Floyd influence, but the song is not over taken by it. Very beautiful work, clean playing, nice lead lines. It sounds great, very well done. What are you playing in this? I feel like I hear a mandolin, but I don't think so? I liked it, I was expecting vocals to kick in about 1/4 of the way into it.
Very Floydish. I could almost believe I was listening to some early Floyd, say something from "Atom Heart Mother" or "Vision Obscured by Clouds".

It was influenced by Pink Floyd and Shpongle, and represents the collapse of knowledge and the fusion of past events as one travels backwards in time and through the insanity of their own mind (or something like that).
