                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hey...liked the theme and theory behind this site so thought I'd join up.<br><br>I have been playing off and on for about...10 years or so.<br>Hadn't p[layed in a year or two until I found I could use this<br>PC here in front of me for something besides games and surfing.<br><br>Grew up listening to the likes of MacAlpine, Satriani, Lynch, Malmsteen,<br>all the "Guitar Gods".<br><br>Also, Liszt...Paganini, (Beethoven &lt;---- My fave "Moonlight Sonata" rules)<br><br>I try and base my own style on the Romantic period of "Classical"<br>music, also Contemporary classical, etc. etc.<br><br>But of course was influenced some by the guys above a little.<br><br>I like "shredding", but it has to have some musicality, ebb and flow,<br>and melody to it.<br><br>Cut to the chase, here is a tune I did a few weeks ago, using <br>my Strats, RP200A, Ibanez TS, drum samples from various<br>places on the net, and Fruity Loops.<br><br>I'm still kind of new to mixing so my production, though not terrible,<br>is not quite Pro Demo quality either.<br><br>Did this one a few weeks ago.<br><br>Never posted here though...in fact only posted it at one or two places.<br><br>Anywho...<br><B><br>Points of Interest: <br><br>Idea behind this is the usual dark, madness, that I love so much.<br><br>In the first few bars, there is use of a rarely used scale, which<br>is part chromatic, but skips every other 5th note. It's called the<br>"Messianic scale"</B>...least that's what someone told me afterwards,<br>complete with tab and chart.<br><br>Create/learn something new everyday...<br><br>Occurs from the 0:40 to 0:53 second mark.<br><br>(Messianic=Messiah? Guess that's the root meaning. Kinda scary<br>sounding for God though...) :?  :lol:<br><br>5-fingered hammer-on/legato version of George Lynch's "Gothic Octave" mode.<br><br>Anyway, some good licks and a subtle theme that begins around the 2:05<br>mark...diminished into descending diatonic motif.<br><br>Tempo....mood changes...<br><br>Fruity Loops and my patience contribute the strange sounds...<br></span><br>It's a little on the errie side.<br><br>Think...Bowels of the earth...with groove and flash.<br><br>Always....cool.8)<br></b><br>wma version  2.8MB<br><a href="http://f1velo-city.com/uploads/THE_DEEPEST_ONES_SF.wma">The Deepest Ones</a><br><br>mp3 version 2.8MB<br><a href="http://f1velo-city.com/uploads/THE_DEEPEST_ONES_SF.mp3">The Deepest Ones</a><br><I><br>Only fault with this file is that there is a 0.10 of a second "hiccup"?<br>My computer's memory must have had a brain fart or something.</I>]]></content:encoded>
