Thanks smokindog. I've been having lots of stuff at school this year (Heck, I had to stay up late to get this recording done!), so I've been kind of missing out on recording. I'll try to jam with you guys in the near future! :) Still workin on my blues licks...

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, I'm just starting jazz (Well, this was more melodic than jazzy, but I only have one original jazz lick so far, and that in a major key, this is Am BTW), and have really started to see just how complicated it is. From what I can tell so far, you have to be rock solid with your music theory stuff to understand it. I'm still learning about music theory, so I get completly baffled with the jazz stuff. Hope to take Music Theory (and then Jazz Band) as a class in high school, but I hear it's VERY tough (Like a junior college for Juliard  )

Thanks again! :D

Hey fellow forumites, haven't posted here in a while, but I thought I'd like to check up on how I'm doing from a different perspective. I'm getting more in to jazz, and this is my take on a song loosely based on Fall Off Trees. It was recorded the pinhole mic on my screen, and with my trusty Seagull (Even the bass). All tracks were done first take.

http://s42.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3T8PEKJ22JRPV38HMVSOPLOP03

I already know I need to work on my phrasing and timing, but any other suggestions? Thanks!
