You know db, I was thinking about adding street sounds here and there but thought it might be too cheesy. Also thought about adding a phone dialing effect prior to the little "phone conversation" at the end. I'll play around with it to see if it adds value.

BTW, JWMartin asked if he could add a drum track to this. keep playing this song when practicing. I know by doing that I 'get to know' the song in a deeper way.
the song gets legs or something.
that's when ideas for leads, fills, etc, begin to come out.
I too like the directness of the recording. the vox track stands forward.

Roy- I did a second take on the solo to fix a few weak part but it is largel in part the original take. The phone part...LOL!
I tell ya what, I was cracking up when I did that. I had to do it a few times because I was laughing. Thanks again for giving me feedback. It was your vision that helped me find the lyrics. I've not done anything with I Promise. Strange you ask, I was just thinking about what to do with that little demo tonight. I think it deserves to be done to its potential.
