what sticks out and bothers me is the cadence.
the vocal and guitar come in alignment so often the song develops a plodding beat.
to avoid that try having the the voice flow through the count so you don't start each word with a 2 and a 4 count. or 1 and 3. whichever. vary things both rhythmically and vocally. Thanks, that sounds like it might be a challenge for me, but I`ll work on it. I`d like to say that some of my other songs are not like that, but they probably are but I think they don`t take as big of a hit from it as this one does.
