I had almost exactly the same thoughts as AudioSlave -- fully arpeggiated guitar would be the perfect way to complement your great vocal work on this tune. But given the difficultly you'd have doing that, I have an alternative suggestion: Try some tastefully strummed twelve string. A 12 is a bit more forgiving than a 6. In the right register, it should blend well with your voice.

Audioslaveaddict - you're probably right that that would sound better. Lowering the volume would be no problem. Recording a guitar doing arpeggios, however, would be more difficult.
