Your guitar DOES sound either out of tune, or you're playing out of key.

Second, you said yourself you are sloppy and hit bad notes..... fine... we all do, nobody here is perfect, nor do we expect you to be either. So, when someone says you sound like you are in the wrong key, you can't come back with, "I disagree" when you yourself have already said you hit bad notes.
Yes very sloppy. That's one of my strong points, along with bad notes. Third, I also agree that something sounds out of key. Maybe you're out of tune?
