My advise is that you should listen to all the acoustic blues you can get your hands on. Really listen and more importantly FEEL the music.
Play along with them...most of those guys are dead and wouldn't mind :twisted:

I like the ideas you have, but I feel like your technique is lacking a little. To be more precise, I feel like some of the notes aren't being hit - the slide isn't in the right place, etc, so it is slightly out of key. I noticed this on another recording you posted as well, though didn't get a chance to comment on it. I think if you can nail that down, it will sound a lot better, and then you can work from there.

Also, I'm a huge fan of Trucks. I recently got to see him when he was touring with Clapton and it was the greatest concert I've been to. What I did notice is you spent a fair amount of time with the 3rd and 4th fingers of your picking hand scrunched up, which makes it difficult to relax the hand when you're playing. At the end, those fingers were stretched out, and you should work on getting that more relaxed hand position throughout.
