This is an old Son House tune.."Death Letter Blues"I did this about three years ago on my Tascam 424 4 track cassette machine. Yes, I know I can't sing but it was fun anyway :D I used my $99 Johnson acoustic guitar and my $99 Washburn Bass guitar on this track.Good God I love "Cheap Stuff That works good" :D

Great stuff Ken!
Real tight and spare; amazing amount of drive forward for a track with no drums.
I like your singing; you remind me of Lowell George singing 'Framed'. 8)

Thanks ..but I did that one 3 years ago  I do find that I sound better with certain songs and of course one can get away with not having a good voice when your singing the blues  ( although it would be nice to have a good voice)
Thanks every one. I think I might start recording some things on the 424 again. I'm still using it for a mixer anyway. Its good to be limited to only 4 tracks (it worked for the Beatles) and I like the sound you get on a analog recording......now where did I put those cassette tapes :?

Ya there were certain recordings where you sounded really congested, thats what I meant your voice sounded clear on this one.

Ken,
Great choice of songs.
Your singing reminds me of David Bromberg

Big "thumbs-up" from me Ken.....and your voice suits the song perfectly. Believe me, I hear worse voices - a LOT worse - coming out of the radio every day. Like you said, use what you've got - you used it well!
:D :D :D
