I am just trying to sort out a couple of mics at the moment so I can do a better job of recording (I'm lucky that I know an audio tech who's job is working with this sort of thing all the time! Unfortunately he lives 250 miles away, but therein lies the benefits of instant messaging :)). Hopefully should be set up within a week or so, so once that's all in place I should be able to do a half decent recording. Not sure about the solo in this song, I shall look into that! Not convinced I can quite do with David does and match guitar pitch with my voice. :shock:

I really liked it (I liked your first version too). I think your strumming on the electric was especially good, not an easy thing to do.

I'm sitting back and drifting away to Wish You Were Here, then I notice that I've only got to enjoy one minute twenty seconds worth...and it sounded like it was going so well?

If (and only if) you're trying to be more of a copy of the original, then you want to watch the timing of the first and third phrases of the acoustic part. You're starting at the same time as the electric guitar part when (according to the original recording) you want to make it more of a call and response.
