Sounds good. You've got a good sound there. I'd suggest adding a little vibrato on the 10th fret of G when you bend it.

Also, David and someone else were right with the open A chord.

Go to about 50 seconds, watch how clapton plays it. I have tried "liking" it that way but it JUST doesn't sound right to me...however, if you look closely he is not playing the same chords as me either. It looks like Clapton is playing someting more like the 2nd tab I posted and not the first. That may be the reason why it doesn't sound good to me. I like the way I play it....it's easy, I am up and down the fretboard so the "Cool-Factor" is HIGH! 8) and it sounds good to me.
Other than that though you sound great. I'd love to add in the solo if you want to make it some sort of team Maso (Mike/Taso) collab.

There is one other version of SOYL (or at least variations of it) that is played toward the upper part of the neck and they still use the same basic chords as this tab for the chorus (see below). Thanks for the input!

Anyway maybe this is just nitpicking but the chorus doesn't comw through well on the recording.

Still a nice job, you've inspired me to pull out my BT of that song and play it tonight. Never learned the solo either and that's another thing I need to work on.

Nice job, nice tone. I have to agree with David the chorus should start with an A chord then C - G then back to A before going back to the main riff. Thanks! However, If you look at my tab I believe that is what I DID play:
