Hello Jim I use Stylus RMX more and more these days. On this one I remember I programmed the drums as in used the keyboard to generate the hits. Turned out sort of a shuffle which was more luck than judgement. You really need a midi keyboard or something to allow you to tap in individual hits, if not you end up with a repetative groove and real drummers are anything but repetative. I use a midi controller keyboard for synths and particularly drum hits.

Hello Moonrider I use Amp Modellers namely a Johnson J Station which they no longer make but you can pick them up for cheap on Ebay I think. Great little tool and full of very useable simulated sounds. My latest addition is a Vox Tonelab which is a knob twiddlers delight and also has a valve on it for that warm feeling. The Vox Tonelab is superb but I still use the Johnson which has to be one of my best all time buys. On this track I used both. I do not have or use software amp sims.

Thanks Dogbite my stage days were very brief and a long time ago I just hated it. I love nothing more than sitting in my little studio and doing my own thing with no pressure apart from trying to make each recording better than the one before.
