thats unlike me to pick the right site ken :D ..smoke .oh have you done the banjo bit for john [celt] yet :?:

Smoke, I sent it to John 2 or 3 days ago along with a bass track and a small slide solo. :D Did you do the harp part yet :?:

Mike, I can't find that confounded button   I have had fewer problems with soundclick. Its not perfect but I find it more user friendly. You also have the option of using a Creative Commons copy rite. I even maintain 3 separate accounts. :D

OK so we will Highjack this thread a little more.

I sent that track to Smokehouse via email if it didn't arrive let me know
and I'll send it again. A actually I have this week off. That's the
advantage of at a private boarding school.

And Mike I find soundclick rarely gives me any problems

This is what I like about acid planet

This is cut from their FAQ

When I upload a song, what should I enter in the Copyright box?

When you upload a song, you should enter the name of the person who owns the copyright in the Copyright box. This is probably your name if you wrote the song. You can also enter the year that you wrote the song. Your copyright information might look like this:

Jane Dough, 2002

When you accept our User Submission Agreement on the Upload page, you give us permission to play your song on the site, offer it for download, etc. However, the copyright of your song still belongs to you, even after you upload the song. The only exception is for contest entries that contain copyrighted loops from an original track. In that case, the entries belong to the entity that holds the copyright for the original track.

That's pretty cool! So I could upload a cover as long as I write the owners name in........

You just like it because the name gives you flashbacks, huh?

I did look at it yesterday and I tried to listen to a song, it gave a pop-up, but then said I needed a "Windows Media 6.4 Player Shim". I keep my PC up to date as best I can and don't have that. I just don't want people thinking it's going to be a pain everytime I post a track. I'm going to MS now to download it. I think AP is taking the lead now in the hunt.

I'll let y'all know how I get on............

Edit: It works now

I'm listening to "Don't Sleep In the Subway" now. Who's the freak that came up with that one! :P I like it! :D Still got it in ya?

Nick: legally I believe that's the same as with SoundClick, you retain copyright and ownership but the site gets allowed to use it.

It's a good thing titles aren't copyrightable. But if you take a listen you'll see our concepts are just a bit different.

That's pretty out there Nick! :o 8) Pink Floyd for sure. :P

You should add this as an intro to a song. :D
