A mono source to a mono track.

In cubase look at the icons at the top. On the far left there is an icon which when moused over should say "show/hide inspector". Click on this to show the inspector. There you can decide whether the track is mono or stereo.

Regarding the drum machine: plug the left an right out or use a single stereo TRS jack to dual mono TS jack to go into the left and right channels of the US 122. It won't record the first track in mono. I can get it to record in 24 track or empty project track in stereo, but only on the right side. Do I just record everything on different tracks on the right side.... If not how do you know what to put on which side ie, R or L....I haven't gotten into mixing very deep yet. Does it happen then and if so still which side gets what?

KSblu
