It has 2x12" speakers. Twin channels. Reverb. Presence. Eq. Knobs. Footswitch jack. Headphone Jack. Effects Loop. Two Instrument Jacks (high and low). And some more stuff, that I can't really think of off of the top of my head.

It has F***ing muscle! It is inexpensive too! It pumps out lush sound, and if you feel like it, it will crush your skull with power. Especially for only $179. But you can only get it for that cheap at http://www.musiciansfriend.com   I looked at the guitar shop I go to, and he offered me the exact same one that I bought, for $400.

I'm use to playing stereo. The effects take on a whole different meaning when run stereo.

This is the set I use now and then, because all I have to carry is a Guitar in a gigbag over my shoulder,one amp in left hand and one amp and my briefcase(which contains cords,tunner,pre-amp,a mic & cord,tools, etc)in my right. I run the output of the 505 stereo into each amp, I have the amps set for clean sound,(because I get all the overdrive and/or distortion from the pre-amp). Then I mic one of them into the mixer. These little amps will push a 4x12 box without any problems.

I will say that 90% of the time I use other more expensive Tube equipment for doing larger venues. I do take a setup like this when I get asked to jam or play some party or small Honky tonk. Everything is light,easy to carry in and easy to pack-up at the end of the night. Over the years I've learned to analize the playing situation is see what would be the best to use. One reason: sometimes things can get out of control an equipment gets the bunt of it.

You could use two crate 15w amps and a stereo pre-amp and kick some serious sound,
or maybe something like a  Fender Cyber Twin.

It would also depend on what sound your looking to create.
