There is always a little distortion.<br><br>Acoustic guitar amps and PA's are designed to reproduce sound with almost no distortion. <br><br>Many acoustic guitar amps today come with an XLR microphone input. So they are really like a small self contained PA.<br><br><a href="http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid=040517132112067086209021660681/g=guitar/search/detail/base_pid/480687/">Behringer Ultracoustic ACX1000</a><br><br>If you had a PA, then you both could sing and run instruments into it. <br><br>If you get a PA, get one that is at least 200 Watts. Anything less than that will not provide enough power except to maybe play coffee shops.]]></content:encoded>

Would it take both inputs, would a regular amp suffice or Would a PA be the best way to go?<br><br>I am a total rookie a this amplification game and my buddy (SINGER)just wants the ease of usin a mic and I dont know jack about amplification. <br><br>Now that Im thinking, could I get a mixer and run prerecorded music through the PA and pull vocals down or guitar out, to practice with. <br><br> <br><br>Thanks for any help and suggestions.]]></content:encoded>
