                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[I've got a jam night i'm running in 2 days, and i need help.<br><br>Everyone keeps telling me that you need a D.I. (direct) box, or some kind of effects processor to run an acousti-electric into a mixer. Is this true (and why)? <br><br>We're gonna be running a Yamaha APX series and a Takamine into a Yamaha EMX5000-12 (as well as mics, etc...)<br><br>I can't figure out why you would need one, since the guit. has a pre-amp (the signal shouldn't be too cold because of that), and if the signal is hot, the board has a 26 dB pad to work with.<br><br>I hope this is enough (and not too much) info.
