Just felt like posting an update.

Based on a lot of the good recs from you guys here, I picked up the v-amp2 a couple of weeks ago. I must say, its great! Thanks for all the help!
My only criticism is that some of the presets are at vastly different volumes. For example, Bank 1, preset A (Street w/no Name) is far louder than Bank 1 preset
C (Every Breath). Now I know its not a big deal as 1.) most players will not use presets, and 2.) it is unlikely to use those two tones in one song. But still, there is a vast difference in volume.

I had gone to two Guitar Centers. The first didn't carry it. At the second, there were two left. The staff guy there gave it good reviews and then tried selling me the POD. Hhhmmmm blatant attempt to up the sale??? When I would budge from the v-amp, he said the tone quality was great but gave it negative feedback by telling me how Behringer has been alleged to "copy" the work of other fx companies. I could care less about their corporate and design ethics and whether their v-amp delays too closely resemble Boss delays.

The unit is far more rugged that I thought. Reviews that I've read about its fragile plastic casing getting easily damaged must be written by people that don't care for their equipment. While plastic it is pretty sturdy and the footswitch is in a medal casing.

I should have added that I find the manual confusing. I am not that technical. Though willing to learn, I need something more in plain language, especially in editing. By the way if anyon has tips or knows of a tutorial/walkthrough for manually editing patches, I'd appreciate the info!!

Cheers!
