                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[The instructions you received assume you want to go into a stereo input (or 2 mono inputs). <br>A single speaker ain't going to give you stereo.<br><br>What you need is an 1/8 stereo to single 1/4 mono adapter cable. But these aren't common, because it's kink of a kludge. You will be essentially connecting the right and left outputs of your MP3 player together, then connecting that combined output to the input of the powered speaker. <br>It shouldn't hurt anything, it's just not the "right" way of doing things.]]></content:encoded>

Everything I read indicates that I need a mini jack at one end and 2 xlrs or 1/4 jacks at the other. The problem is that there is only a single 1/4 jack and a single xlr connection on the powered speaker and I am not using a mixer. Any suggestions? I apologize if the answer is very basic, but I am speaker illiterate. Thanks.]]></content:encoded>
